Backyard Fun with The Gough Family

On a day that we were scheduled to go to a park in west Plano, we noticed that the forecast for what we hoped would be a mild September morning would turn out to be somewhat brisk.  So instead, we decided that it would be best to have our session at their home instead of braving the cool Dallas temperature.  What do you get when you mix a good looking couple, their adorable children and tons of personality?  How about beautiful, spontaneous and candid portraits.

We started out the session taking just a couple of formal images to go ahead and get those out of the way before having the family move to the backyard to relax and play in their spacious backyard.  And when the “littles” began to grow a little weary of the shutter (which doesn’t take long at all), we let them take a play break, which allowed us to sneak away with mom and dad for a few whimsical shots of their own.  Things just go smoother when children are in their own habitat and they don’t feel rushed, right?

Is Michele rocking that jacket or what?

I think we have an All-Star in the making.  This little guy has impeccable hand-eye coordination.

Who doesn’t like a little bit of rough-housing in the grass?

It wouldn’t surprise me if these boys really do go down this slide head first.  They are boys after all.

Doesn’t this just make your heart melt? Adorable!

Perfect!!

Andy & Michele:  We are so blessed to have met you and spent time with your family.  Amazing, how much you love each other and how you love on your boys.  I want to thank you for allowing Tess and I to capture this moment in time for your family.  I especially want to thank you for the tenderness that you showed to my own children during our ordering session.  I love your BIG hearts.   God Bless! – Seneca
